How many more times should I take the SAT? I took the SAT once earlier this year and did well on the Math section, but I could have done better on critical reading and writing. I want to raise those scores but i'm afraid my math score will go down.

You can certainly take the SAT multiple times. As a general rule though, you should avoid taking it more than 3 times. The reason is that there are a few schools which will think you are taking the test too many times.
The advantage of taking it again is that your composite score cannot possibly go down since colleges will add up your highest scores from each section to arrive at your composite score.

You can take the SAT as many times as you want, but keep in mind that you might just tire yourself out. When applying for college, schools take the highest composite score so if you do much better in one section but not in another, don't sweat it. Your overall score improved
The previous answers are right, you should take the SAT as many times as you can. Almost all schools will consider your highest composite SAT score, which means they'll take the highest combination of your scores for each section. So if you take it again and your writing score improves but your math score goes down, don't worry about it! Your overall score went up.
You can take it as many times as you want, but just remember...all the scores are sent to the college you go to. So I don't suggest taking it too many times, but practice enough so that you can do good on the next one. Mainly, just try your hardest on the next SAT because too many SATs won't look good tothe colleges.
if you're not happy with the score you got, you should take it again because your score cant go down it can only go up.
You should definitely take it again! My daughter and I weren't sure either, but she decided to take the test again last spring and her score went up by 170 pts! You can imagine how happy I was to hear that!
