If you still have not submitted the CSS Profile or the FAFSA, fill it out immediately, Since the primary concern is not having the tax information for the current year, then estimate this amount using last yearÕs tax information. This can be done by dividing the net income by 52 (the amount of weeks per year). On the FAFSA,be sure to select the option that says Will File. As soon as your parents have the tax information for this year, submit the FAFSA Correction Form. Since you are submitting these forms after the priority deadline; you may still qualify for university scholarships,; but the probability of you receiving loans is higher. With this in mind, once your financial aid applications are complete, you must work extra hard in finding outside scholarships. Apply to as many as possible, especially local scholarships. Even though loans may sound intimidating right now, most loans you do not have to start giving payments until a few months after you graduate from college. At this point, take action quickly but not hastily. Good luck on your endeavors!
