Karan Goel - CEO
Karan Goel is CEO and Co-Founder of PrepMe.
Goel was previously a Metcalf Fellow in finance and equity research for The Pritzker Organization (TPO), which oversees Hyatt Hotels, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and other Pritzker family assets. Additionally, Goel has startup and industry experience at college application database firm myTrak and at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). In high school, Goel scored a 1530 on his SAT I, a perfect 800 on 4 different SAT II exams and perfect 5s on all 11 AP exams he took, making him a National AP Scholar. In May 2004, he was named the U.S. Small Business Administration's Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Goel graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Chicago with a BA in Economics in three years. He immediately went on to business school and graduated Beta Gamma Sigma with an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Finance from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business.
Avichal Garg - CTO
Avichal is CTO and Co-Founder of PrepMe.com.
Avichal was previously a Product Manager at Google, first in Search Quality, working on the core of the search engine, where he received an Executive Management Group award for outstanding performance, and then in Ads Quality on the core advertising engine. He has previous engineering experience at Amazon and Procter and Gamble. Garg scored a 1580 on the SAT, 5s on 10 AP exams making him a national scholar, and was 2 time captain of a top 5 National Science Bowl team.
Garg has a B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University and an M.S. in Management Science from Stanford University.
Sammy Shreibati - Lead Software Engineer
Sammy Shreibati is PrepMe's Lead Software Engineer. In this role, he is driving and developing PrepMe's online learning platform with extensive tutor management and interaction features. Sammy previously worked at Zoran Corporation as a firmware engineer developing DIVX chips.
Shreibati graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on Computer Hardware and Digital Design.

Michael Friedman
Michael Friedman began his publishing career in 1965 working at Crown Publishers as Director of Special Sales. In 1977 he started the Michael Friedman Publishing Group, a company that produced popular, illustrated, non-fiction books which he ran for over 20 years. The company was originally sold in 1990 to John Fairfax, and then in 1999 Friedman & Fairfax sold the business to Barnes & Noble. Mr. Friedman was then President of the Barnes & Noble Publishing Business for 4 years. In 2003, Michael Friedman started the Michael Friedman Group, a marketing and consulting firm specializing in the publishing industry.
Bob Nagel
Bob Nagel is presently a managing partner of CEO Partners, a management consulting firm for executives in the services industry. He has held a variety of leadership roles over the last 25 years. He is the former President & COO of Peapod, a Principal at A.T. Kearney, VP & GM Kraft Foodservice (Alliant), and VP Marketing/R&D Lily-Tulip Cup Co.
Jean Pierre-Dube
Jean Pierre-Dube is Professor of Marketing and Neubauer Family Faculty Fellow at the Graduate School of Business at University of Chicago. His areas of research include internet marketing and pricing, with numerous publications in these areas. He sits on the editorial board of Marketing Science, Product and Operations Management, and Recherche et Applications en Marketing, and is an ad hoc reviewer for numerous other publications. In addition to PrepMe, he serves on the advisory board for Comscore Networks.
Vibhu Mittal
Vibhu was most recently a Senior Research Scientist at Google, focusing on natural language processing and machine learning techniques in Google Web Search and Google News. Vibhu was a Senior Scientist at Xerox PARC, CTO of Visual Science, and has taught at Carnegie Mellon and The Ohio State University. He is currently an adjunct faculty member at Carnegie Mellon.
